Rihanna has spoken for the first time about the leak of naked photographs of her in May.

The pictures, which showed the singer in a number of provocative poses, emerged online just two months after she was assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown.

In an interview with US radio station Hot 97, Rihanna said the pictures had been leaked by an ex-boyfriend and that she felt “humiliated”.

"I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, 'oh great, so now there's nothing they don't know about me and my private life'," she said.

"It was humiliating and it was embarrassing - especially my mum having to see that. It was two days before Mother's Day, so I was nervous.

"I sent her flowers first before I called and then she texted me - when the world is against me she's always there supporting."

Rihanna, who said he mother didn't criticise her for the photographs, also defended her right to take them.

"If you don't send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him,” she added.

The 22-year-old singer is currently promoting her new album, 'Rated R', which was released on Monday.

50 Cent has hit back at Jay-Z after the rapper appeared to poke fun at poor sales of his new album, 'Before I Self Destruct'.

Jay-Z made the comment - “Men lie, women lie - numbers don't” - during an acceptance speech at the American Music Awards on Sunday.

His remark appeared to be in reference to reports that 50 Cent's new album was on course to sell just 150,000 copies in its first week.

The rapper's three previous efforts have all sold over 500,000 copies in their opening seven days.

Speaking about Jay-Z's remark on US radio station Sirius Satellite, 50 Cent said: “He's said that before. I didn't really take that as disrespect.

“If you wanna be disrespectful, just be disrespectful. Once we start I'm not gonna stop.”

He added: “I'll make you aware of that, 'cause I'm not the type of guy that goes away. So if that's the kind of energy we getting ready to go into, then let's do it!"

50 Cent had previously baited Jay-Z on a new track entitled 'I Go Off', on which he claims the rapper has neglected his roots.

CHIPMUNK STRUGGLED WITH HECTIC LIFE

Chipmunk says he threatened to commit suicide because his life is so hectic and is now taking time to rest and come to terms with his success.

Chipmunk threatened to kill himself because he can't cope with his hectic life.

The 'Oopsy Daisy' hitmaker - who caused concern earlier this month when he posted a series of disturbing messages on his Twitter page, including "I wanna die" - is trying to scale back his commitments after a whirlwind year of success took its toll. He doesn't even plan to celebrate his 19th birthday today (26.11.09).

He told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "I just needed to take some time out to rest and get my head together. I try and take everything in my stride. It's been a successful year for me.

"But I still haven't had the chance to let anything sink in yet, I haven't had a chance to think about it all. I'm just too busy. And I get followed everywhere too, it's crazy.

"It's a bit boring right now, it's my birthday and I'm not even going to do anything."

The British rapper also thanked his fans for helping him stay sane.

He said: "They put me where I am, so no matter what crazy s**t happens, I'm with them."

CHIPMUNK BACK TO WORK

Troubled U.K. rapper CHIPMUNK has gone back to work just two weeks after fears for his emotional state led to the cancellation of all his upcoming commitments.
The star - real name Jahmaal Fyffe - sparked concerns for his health after he posted alarming messages about suicide on his Twitter.com page earlier this month (07-08Nov09). The messages, which have since been removed, read: "I wanna die" and "Is suicide easy?"
The Oopsy Daisy hitmaker scrapped a string of performances and took a break to recover with his family in London.
But the 18 year old was back on stage on Wednesday (25Nov09) at a charity gig in Kent, England, and he admits he is healthy, happy and enjoying being back in the spotlight.
He says, "It's kind of sad it takes a problem before you get some time off, but I'm just easing myself back into work and trying to get my mind right because it affects my music and that's the last thing you want. I have to get back on stage, it's not optional. I've got a lot of big shows coming up and regardless of how I feel it would be stupid to miss them. I'm back.
"It got to the point of you dig your own hole and then jump in it and then you have to climb out because everyone expects you to. You've just got to be the boss of your own schedule or else you run yourself into the ground."
